John is a experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working in the public policy and educational program arena. Skilled in leading large-scale projects, with expertise in data analysis, research, educational technology, instructional design, grants, and strategic partnerships . Diverse educational background with a Ph.D. in leadership, Master’s degrees in math and education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.

Lee started with Cleveland State in September 2021 after spending 37 years working for a non profit organization.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Health & Physical Education from Emory & Henry College.

Jill Norton Woodruff
Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations 

Jill, a Cleveland native, brings to Cleveland State almost 30 years of experience in marketing, fundraising, event planning, and community relations. She attended Cleveland State and received her Bachelor of Science from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her Master of Arts from Lee University.  She is a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, the Cleveland-Athens Cotillion, Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, and serves on the board of the Museum Center at 5ive Points. Jill has also been a river guide on the Ocoee for over 30 years and is the proud mother of William and Mary Grant Woodruff, who are students at UTC.
